Explaining complex or technical work to people outside your field
Programmes are built around your people and the moments they face, from a PhD viva to a committee paper. Every session is live practice. Delegates speak from the first hour, a trainer pushes back the way an examiner or a senior stakeholder would, and they get direct feedback before trying again.
Formats: conference breakouts, half-day workshops, two-day programmes and multi-cohort staff masterclasses, on campus, for groups of 12 to 25. We measure confidence before and after every programme.
King’s College London
Rise in average staff confidence presenting new or complex topics, after a two-day programme
PhD researchers, King’s and Imperial
Every doctoral researcher who gave feedback would recommend the two-day programme
London School of Economics
Every staff member who gave feedback rated our conference session 10 out of 10
“Threeway tie between supportive opportunity to try without pressure, individual feedback, and finally getting specific framework we instantly practiced.”

Our trainers have been the expert in that room themselves. Gordon spent years in private banking at JP Morgan, and Frederick delivered the highest-rated pitch in The Apprentice’s history. We have worked with King’s College London across professional services staff, senior managers and PhD researchers, and with LSE’s staff and students. Every programme starts with a short survey, so we build it around what your people find hardest.
Yes. We run sessions at your university, from conference breakouts to two-day programmes, in London and across the UK.
Yes. We ran a two-day programme for doctoral researchers from King’s College London and Imperial College London, covering conference talks, questions from the floor and explaining technical work to non-specialists.
Workshops work best for 12 to 25 participants. For larger teams we run several cohorts.
Programmes can start with a baseline on Scenara, our AI practice platform, and we track progress through feedback, observation and a final review.
Or just email us at hello@leadershipcommunicationgroup.com. Tell us who your team is, who they speak to and where it isn’t landing, and we’ll reply with an honest view.
